Nov. 7th Action

     In Pee Wee action, the BGC Cowboys downed the Heat & Air Tarheels 14-6.  For the Cowboys, Ian Woods had a fumble recovery as Will Courts scored on a fumble recovery.  Garrett Howerton scored on a 3-yard carry and Bennett Nooe scored the safety. 

     Parker Wilson scored on a 98-yard haul for the Tarheels.  On defense for the Tarheels was Alex Sedwick and Jordan Ragland. 

     Garrett Howerton and Bennett Nooe led the Cowboys on defense. 

     The Double F Hurricanes beat the Eden Moose Lodge Panthers 19-0.  Rasaun Clark scored on a 54-yard carry and  Brad Bonds ran for a 25-yard touchdown and Josh Stanley added the point after.  Shemar Watkins scored on a 53-yard carry . 

     Duron King and Tyren Willis had a good game on defense for the Hurricanes. 

     Travis Odell and Keivon Broadnax led the way for the Panthers. 

Monday's (November 2) Playoff Championship

Jets 20, Broncos 0

     The Jets blanked the Broncos 20-0 to capture the playoff championship in the Reidsville Parks & Recreation Department’s Pee Wee football league Monday at Jaycee Park.

     The Jets won the regular season with a 9-1 record and swept the playoffs in two games to finish the year with an overall record of 11-1.

     Cameron Galloway scored two touchdowns for the Jets and Jalen Easley one. Galloway also had a pair of extra point runs.

     Lance Brown, Tyler Finch, Titus Jones, Lawrence Mitchell, David Lawson, Brian Watlington, Austin Paynter, and James Echols all had big games for the Jets.

     George Hemphill scored in First Quarter action.

     For the Broncos, Kasim Morris, Zach Perdue, Benjamin Ross, Nelson Smith, Coley Thomas, Willy Blackstock, Savion Thompson, and DaQuez Jackson all played well.

Wednesday's (October 28) Games

Playoff games

     The Broncos scored an overtime touchdown to post a 7-6 win over the Bears in a Reidsville Parks & Recreation Department Pee Wee Football playoff game Wednesday at Jaycee Park.

     In the other game, the Jets blanked the Giants 27-0. The Jets and Broncos will play for the playoff championship Monday at 6 p.m. at Jaycee Park.

     The Broncos scored on the first series in overtime and then stopped a game-tying conversion by the Bears.

     Coley Thomas scored the TD for the Broncos and got the conversion for the win.

     Dexter Scales scored for the Bears but was denied the extra point to end the game.

     Ben Ross had a fumble recovery for the Broncos.

     Jairon Dickerson and Ethan Busick recovered fumbles for the Bears.

Jets 27, Giant 0

     Jalen Easley scored three touchdowns for the Jets and Kendall Thomas returned an interception for another.

     Cameron Galloway and Titus Jones had conversion runs.

     George Hemphill and Jones had fumble recoveries and Lawrence Mitchell intercepted a pass.

     Lance Brown and Hemphill scored in First Quarter action.

     Grantheum Grant had a fumble recovery for the Giants and Shawn Watlington scored in First Quarter play.

Monday's (October 26) Games

      The Reidsville Jets rolled to an impressive 28-0 win over the Reidsville Giants in a Rockingham County North Star Pee Wee League football game Monday at Jaycee Park.

     Coupled with the Bears’ 19-0 win over the Broncos, the Jets clinched the regular season championship with a 9-1 record.

     Jalen Easley and Cameron Galloway scored two touchdowns each to lead the Jets to the win.

Galloway, David Lawson, Tyler Jones, and Galloway had extra point runs.

     Lawrence Mitchell had a fumble recovery and interception for the Jets.

     Tyler Finch (fumble), Alden Kolessar, John Reynolds, Austin Strader, Kendall Thomas, Austin Paynter, and Brian Watlington also played well for the Jets.

     Shawn Watlington and Javon Scales recovered fumbles for the Giants and Kenneth Pinnix also recovered a fumble.

     Dexter Scales scored on runs of 5, 30,and 35 yards to lead the Bears to the upset win.

     Scales also had a conversion run.

     Mi’Kal Carter and Charles Hill had fumble recoveries.

     Alec Abel, James Piech, and Ethan Busick also played well for the Bears.

     Joe Blackburn (fumble), Willy Blackstock (interception), Jordan Bryant, DaQuez Jackson, Ben Ross, Nelson Smith, Coley Thomas, and Zach Perdue all played well for the Broncos.

Saturday's (Oct. 24) Games

     In Pee Wee League games in Eden, the Reidsville Bears whipped the Eden Hurricanes 30-12 Thursday and the Reidsville Broncos beat the Boys & Girls Club Cowboys 31-6 on Saturday.

     Coley Thomas scored two touchdowns and Nelson Smith, Daquez Jackson, and Joe Blackburn one each for the Broncos, who trailed 6-0 early in the game.

     Thomas also had a conversion run.

     Willy Blackstock had a pass interception and Zach Perdue recovered a fumble.

Wednesday's (October 21) Games

     The Reidsville Giants recorded a 6-0 overtime win over the Boys & Girls Club Cowboys in a Rockingham County North Star Pee Wee League football game Wednesday night in Eden.

     In other games, the Reidsville Broncos beat the Boys & Girls Club Tar Heels 26-6 at Jaycee Park and the Reidsville Bears blanked the Eden Panthers 19-0.

     Also in Eden, the Reidsville Jets blanked the Eden Hurricanes 32-0.

     Kenneth Slade scored in overtime to lift the Giants to the win.

     Tyrek Johnson, Jacob Surles, and Anthony Slade also played well for the Giants.

Broncos 26

     Nelson Smith scored twice for the Broncos and Kasim Morris scored another rushing TD. Coley Thomas threw a touchdown pass to Jahlen King.

     Smith and Thomas had conversion runs and Benjamin Ross recovered a fumble.

     Also playing well for the Broncos were Willy Blackstock, Zach Perdue, DaQuez Jackson, and Joe Blackburn.

     Ethan Dickerson scored a touchdown for the Tar Heels.

     Dexter Scales scored two touchdowns for the Bears and DeJour Tatum scored one. Alec Able had a conversion.

     Scales had a fumble recovery and Barry Stephens had a pass interception.

     Isaiah Brown scored a touchdown for the Panthers and Jordan Elliott recovered a fumble.

Jets 32

Hurricanes 0

     The Reidsville Jets blanked the Double F Hurricanes. 

     Jalen Easley scored the first two TD’s in the game as he broke loose on runs of 48 and 45 yards each.  Cameron Galloway added a 38 yard TD and also ran in two extra points.   Lawrence Mitchell intercepted a pass and returned it for a 15 yard TD to make the score 26-0 at the half.  Mark Hemphill scored in the second half on a 15 yard carry to tally the final score.   J. R. Reynolds and Chance Townsend led the Jets on defense. 

     Shemar Watkins, Tyren Willis, Duron King, Raushan Clark, Chaundre Bratcher, Matthew Harper, Isaac Falcon and Brad Bonds were the leading players in the game for the ‘Canes.

Monday's (October 19) Games

     The Jets and Broncos stayed neck and neck in the race for the Rockingham County North Star Pee Wee League football championship with wins Monday at Jaycee Park.

     The Jets held on for a 13-6 win over the Bears while the Broncos edged the Giants 7-0.

     Cameron Galloway scored the clinching touchdown in the fourth quarter to lift the Jets.

     Jalen Easley had a TD run in the first half and Galloway had a conversion run.

     Titus Jones had a pass interception.

     Lance Brown, Tyler Finch, Lawrence Mitchell, David Lawson, and James Echols also played well for the Jets.

     George Hemphill scored a pair of TD runs in First Quarter action.

     Dexter Scales scored for the Bears.

     Alec Abel, Grant Boles, Mi’Kal Carter, James Piech, and Charles Hill also played well for the Bears.

     Jahlen King scored on a pass from Coley Thomas to lift the Broncos. Nelson Smith added the conversion.

Saturday's (October 17) Games

     The Jets blanked the Broncos 14-0 Saturday at Jaycee Park to move into a first place tie in the Rockingham County North Star Pee Wee Football League.

     In the other game played Saturday, the Bears shutout the Giants 19-0.

     Camero Galloway scored on a 15-yard run and added the extra point to get the Jets going. Jalen Easley then scored from the 20 and Galloway added the extra point to cap the scoring.

     Galloway and Austin Paynter also had a fumble recoveries.

     Willy Blackstock recovered a fumble for the Broncos.

Giants 0

     The Bears broke open a close game with two touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

     Dexter Scales scored two touchdowns and Alec Abel had one to lift the Bears. Abel also had a conversion run. Ethan Busick and Scales had fumble recoveries.

     Jhaki Rankin scored in the First Quarter for the Bears.

     Shawn Watlington had a fumble recovery and interception while also scoring a First Quarter TD for the Giants.

Wednesday's (October 14) Games

     The Reidsville Jets and Reidsville Giants won a pair of Rockingham County North Star Pee Wee League football games on a cold and wet Wednesday night at Jaycee Park.

     The Jets blanked the Boys & Girls Club Tar Heels 19-0 while the Giants knocked off the Eden Panthers 24-12.

     Titus Jones, Cameron Galloway, and Jalen Easley had scored runs for the Jets. Easley also had a conversion run.

     Easley and Brian Watlington had fumble recoveries and John Reynolds intercepted a pass.

     Also playing well for the Jets were Alden Kolessar, Lance Brown, and Austin Paynter.

     Parker Wilson recovered a fumble for the Tar Heels while Ethan Dickerson, Alex Sedwick, and Kaamill Tyson also played well.

     Shawn Watlington and Kenneth Slade scored two touchdowns apiece to lead the Giants.

     Jovan Scales, Donovan Pinnix, Cole Setliff, Mason Gant, Alec Robertson, and Frantheum Gant also had good games for the Giants.

     Brendon Harris had a 62-yard kickoff return and a 44-yard scoring run for the Panthers.

     Jordan Elliott, Travis Odell, Tyliek Hairston, and Jacob Bruins also played well for the Panthers.

Wednesday's (October 7) Games

     The Reidsville Giants picked up their first win of the season with a 19-7 victory over the Eden Hurricanes in a Rockingham County North Star Pee Wee League football game at Jaycee Park.

In the other game at Jaycee Park, the Reidsville Broncos blanked the Eden Panthers 33-0.

     In Eden, the Reidsville Jets whipped the North Star Realty Cowboys 26-6 and the Reidsville Bears beat the Boys & Girls Club Tar Heels 27-0.

     Ben McKinney and Shawn Watlington had rushing touchdowns for the Giants and Anthony Slade returned a punt for another score.

     McKinney also had an extra point.

     Brad Bonds scored a TD for the Hurricanes and Matthew Harper had a conversion run.

     Tavon Gibbs recovered a fumble for the Hurricanes.

     Joshua Hallman, Shemar Watkins, and Tyren Willis played well for the Hurricanes.

     Nelson Smith and Coley Thomas scored two touchdowns each and Jalen King and Daquez Jackson had one each for the Broncos.

     Smith, Thomas, and King had conversion runs.

     Joe Blackburn recovered a fumble.

     Tyliek Harris, Kevion Broadnax, Jordan Elliott, Reaco Dalton, and Isaiah Brown all played well for the Panthers.

     Dexter Scales scored two touchdowns and Dajour Tatum and Alec Abel scored once to lead the Bears. Charles Hill, Tatum, and Abel scored conversions. Tatum also had two interceptions, one of which he returned for a score.

Wednesday's (September 30) Games

     The Reidsville Jets, Bear, and Broncos along with the Eden Boys & Girls Club Tar Heels were winners Wednesday in the first night of interleague play in the Rockingham County North Star Pee Wee Football League.

     The Jets blanked the Eden Moose Lodge Panthers 26-0 and the Bears shutout the North Star Realty Cowboys 21-0 at Jaycee Park.

     At Freedom Park in Eden, the Broncos beat the Eden Hurricanes 19-7 while at the Boys & Girls Club Tar Heels edged the Reidsville Giants 7-6.

     Titus Jones threw two touchdown passes Cameron Galloway and ran in a pair of scores to lead the Jets.

     Jones also had two extra point runs.

     Lance Brown also recovered a fumble while Jalen Easley, David Lawson, Austin Strader, Chance Townsend, and Lawrence Mitchell also played well.

     Christopher Craddock and Jacob Bruins recovered fumbles for the Panthers while Isaiah Brown and Kevon Broadnax also played well.

     Dexter Scales had scoring runs of 45 and 20 yards to lead the Bears. Alec Abel also had  a 15-yard scoring run. Dajour Tatum had two extra points and Abel had one.

     Will Courts had a fumble recovery for the Cowboys and Andrew Harrison had a pass interception.

George Hemphill scored a touchdown and recovered a fumble for the Jets in First Quarter action.

     Coley Thomas scored touchdowns on a 15-yard run and a pass interception return and Nelson Smith added a rushing touchdown. Smith also had a pair of extra points.

     Daquez Jackson and Thomas recovered fumbles.

     Jackson scored a touchdown in First Quarter action.

     Shawn Watlington scored a rushing touchdown and Mason Gant threw a TD pass to Anthony Slade in First Quarter play. Caleb Gant also played well in the First Quarter.

Wednesday's (September 23) Games

     The Broncos opened their season with a 6-0 win over the Jets in a Reidsville Parks & Recreation Department Pee Wee League football game Wednesday at Jaycee Park.

     In the game, the Bears downed the Giants 12-0.

     Coley Thomas scored on a 60-yard run in the fourth quarter to lift the Broncos.

     Joe Blackburn and Jordan Bryant had fumble recoveries for the winners.

     Lawrence Mitchell had a pass interception for the Jets.

     The Bears recorded the shutout win over the turnover-plagued Giants.

     Alec Abel had three fumble recoveries for the Bears, Grant Boles and Dexter Scales had one recovery each while DaJour Tatum intercepted a pass.

     Scales and Tatum had the scoring runs for the Bears.

     Kenneth Pinnix and Ben McKinney had fumble recoveries for the Giants Cole Setliff also played well for the Giants.
