Who needs one?

Anyone conducting business within the City of Reidsville must have a current city-issued privilege license. 

“Conducting business” applies not only to those with a Reidsville business address but also to anyone who solicits business within the city limits or anyone who delivers goods/services within the city limits.

How do I get a privilege license?

Privilege licenses may be obtained from the Finance Department located on the first floor of City Hall in the lobby area, 230 W. Morehead St.(enter through front door closest to Main Street).  The privilege license application is available on-line, and the fees for each type of business are listed in the fee schedule. 

The privilege license is valid for the fiscal year of June 1 – May 31.
