Project Lifesaver

Project Lifesaver provides equipment which gives law enforcement the capability to find individuals who are prone to wander away and become missing.  These individuals include adults or children with Alzheimer's, autism, Down syndrome, dementia, and other related cognitive conditions.  The participants must wear a small radio transmitter, similar in size to a wristwatch, which emits a radio signal allowing law enforcement to track the signal.  Project Lifesaver has been overwhelmingly successful by quickly finding lost individuals.  To obtain more information about this program, click on the following link, www.projectlifesaver.org.  Caregivers and/or individuals interested in signing up someone for this free service may contact the Captain of the Community Policing Division at 336-347-2312.
