Used Cooking Oil & Grease
Televisions & Computer Monitors

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and closed Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Please deposit materials in the proper containers as marked and do not leave any items that do not have a designated container.  We are counting on you to help us keep this area clean.

Televisions, Computer Equipment added to Drop-Off Site!

In July of 2010, the State of North Carolina banned televisions and computer equipment from being disposed in landfills due to the containment of toxic materials. Since 2012, as an additional service to our City residents, they can bring these items to the City's Recycling Center during normal business hours. Computer equipment includes the following: laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, scanners, mice and keyboards.

In addition, many retailers and electronics manufacturers operate their own recycling programs and can be contacted individually for more information.

Used motor oil can be recycled and should never be dumped down the drain, which pollutes our water.  Put the oil in clean plastic containers for easy pouring into the waste oil tank at the Recycling Center.
