With the City of Reidsville's approval of a voluntary recycling program being offered to its citizens by Waste Management, the City's Recycling Center will no longer accept some items. The first group of citizens signed up for voluntary recycling began service in October of 2016. The cost is $3.85 per month for one cart and $2.50 for each additional cart. Residents have until September 30th to sign up to begin receiving the service starting January of 2017. After that, the next signup period will be for April 1, 2017.

No separation is required by Waste Management, but accepted items must be clean. Following is a list of accepted and unaccepted item:
