The Reidsville Industrial Park, considered one of the premier locations in the State of North Carolina, is a beautifully situated 400-acre park located on NC Highway 87, one mile from NC Highway 29.

Preliminary work began in 1998 on developing the $9 million Park, a joint project of the City of Reidsville and Rockingham County. Promotion and development of the property is coordinated by the Rockingham County Partnership for Economic & Tourism Development.

Local economic development leaders pushed for the park due to the lack of available sites in the Reidsville area. The new park has more than 271 acres of developable property with lots ranging from 3 to 42 acres.

Reidsville Industrial Park has been the recipient of numerous grants, among them $1 million from the US Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration and $400,000 from the North Carolina Rural Center. The most recent grant received was $165,927 from the North Carolina Department of Commerce Industrial Development Fund to construct water and sewer lines for the park.

The first tenant of the park was A.F.G. Wipes, Inc. an Israeli-based non-woven textile manufacturer. The company manufactures non-woven wet wipes for the baby, skin care, household and health care industries.

Reidsville will be the first United States plant for A.F.G. Wipes, which is a subsidiary of Albaad Massuot Yitzhak, Ltd.

The company is expected to create 200 jobs within the next four years and make a $25-30 million investment in Rockingham County.

Alcan Packaging officially opened its tobacco packaging facility in the Industrial Park in 2007. The French-Canadian company has promised to create 170 jobs and invest $42.6 million in the local economy over the next three years.
